About the role#
Trane Technologies offers a 12-week summer internship program for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree. This is a full-time, paid, on-site opportunity. Interns gain exposure to various operational assignments and participate in leadership training, networking, and interaction with senior leaders. Participants may be considered for the company's full-time Accelerated Development Program or direct hire roles upon graduation.
What you'll do#
Interns support various operational functions across the business. Your tasks may include:
- Supporting lean production and operational excellence initiatives.
- Assisting with planning strategy and sales inventory operations planning.
- Contributing to ergonomics and safety projects.
- Engaging in the sourcing and procurement cycle.
- Supporting material handling processes.
- Tracking and generating productivity metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS or BA in Industrial Engineering, Applied Science Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business with Supply Chain Emphasis, or Supply Chain Management.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- At least one prior internship or work experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, such as serving as a sports team captain, resident advisor, or involvement in campus organizations.
- Ability to work effectively with others to coordinate results.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and making informed, strategic decisions.
- Willingness to relocate anywhere in the United States.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- This is a full-time, on-site position for Summer 2027.
