About the role#
The Data Analytics / AI Intern will support the development of business intelligence, reporting, and analytics solutions that drive data-informed decision-making. You will work closely with IT, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop dashboards, and identify opportunities to improve reporting, data quality, and operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and recurring analytics reports.
- Gather and document business requirements by collaborating with stakeholders.
- Analyze and interpret data from various enterprise data sources to identify trends.
- Validate report logic, data accuracy, and dashboard functionality.
- Review existing reporting processes in legacy Excel and MS Access.
- Assist with transforming manual reports and ad hoc data requests into standardized, repeatable dashboards.
- Understand data architectures for relational databases.
- Leverage AI solutions to develop, maintain, or complement dashboard creation.
- Support the development of AI-assisted prototypes and practical automation solutions.
- Document data sources, business requirements, and reporting processes.
- Maintain a prioritized backlog of analytics and AI opportunities.
- Present project outcomes, key findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Analytics in good standing.
- Junior or Senior year status is desired.
- Knowledge of basic Power BI (or Tableau) and Power Automate.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL is preferred.
- Previous ERP knowledge and navigational ability is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR.

- Location: Irvine, California (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid internship.
