About the role#
The Strategy & Business Development Intern supports the annual strategic planning process and assists with mergers and acquisitions. You will help manage the pipeline of targets, create business cases, and support due diligence on active deals. This is a full-time role based on-site in Irvine.
What you'll do#
- Support the Senior Manager and Executive Director with strategic planning and M&A activities.
- Prepare market and competitive environment analysis and presentations for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with business unit managers and various functions to define company strategy.
- Identify, cultivate, and conduct due diligence for M&A targets.
- Develop business cases for strategic initiatives, including entry strategies, footprint optimization, and new product launches.
- Follow all company safety policies, participate in workplace inspections, and assist in the development of job safety analyses.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Business Administration or Finance program, preferably in your senior year.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply strategic frameworks to problem solving.
- Proficiency in market and competitive research.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized while managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Self-motivated and capable of working in a high-demand environment.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.
- Prior experience in strategy, business development, or consulting is preferred.
- Experience with Excel modeling and the aerospace components manufacturing industry is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Irvine, California (On-site).
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Term: November 2026 through August 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly rate between $28.00 and $33.00.
