Career Corner Podcast Host

About the role#

The Center for Career Exploration & Development is seeking a host for the career-focused podcast, "Career Corner," for the Fall 2026 semester. As the face and voice of the show, you will conduct interviews with students, alumni, faculty, and industry experts to share success stories and career development insights. This is a paid, on-site student position requiring 3-5 hours of work per week.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with the student Producer to execute the production timeline for approximately ten episodes per semester.
• Record interviews with guests using Ithaca College recording equipment or your personal laptop.
• Work with the Producer to develop engaging questions and themes for each episode.
• Coordinate with the Director and Associate Director of the Career Center, who provide project direction and final approval on content.

What you'll need#

• Knowledge of audio editing and experience working with studio equipment and technology.
• Proficiency in software such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or Zoom is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Strong public speaking and professional networking abilities.
• A demonstrated interest in career development.
• Proven work ethic, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to present yourself professionally and confidently.
• A commitment to supporting and empowering students from minority identity groups.

• Location: Ithaca, New York.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site, with studio production required on campus.
• Eligibility: Candidates must be in good academic standing. This position is subject to a criminal background check.
