About the role#
The Center for Career Exploration & Development is seeking an engaging host for the seventh season of the career-focused podcast, Career Corner. As the face and voice of the show, you will conduct interviews with students, alumni, faculty, and industry experts to share success stories and career development insights. This is a paid, on-site student position for the Fall 2026 semester, with the potential to extend into the spring.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the student Producer to manage the production timeline for approximately ten episodes per season.
- Record interviews with guests using IC recording equipment or your own laptop.
- Work with the Producer to develop engaging questions and episode themes.
- Coordinate with the Director and Associate Director of the Career Center, who provide project direction and final editorial approval.
- Dedicate 3 to 5 hours per week to podcast responsibilities.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in using audio editing software and studio equipment, with experience in tools like Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or Zoom preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.
- A professional and confident presentation style.
- Proven time management, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- A genuine interest in career development.
- A commitment to supporting and empowering students from minority identity groups.
- Current standing as an Ithaca College student in good academic standing.

- This role is based in Ithaca, New York.
- The position is strictly on-site, requiring studio production on campus.
- The term runs from August 2026 through the end of the fall semester.
- Compensation is set at $16.00 per hour.
