About the role#
The Human Resources Intern supports core HR functions at our Sarasota site. You will gain hands-on experience in employee relations, operations, and compliance while helping maintain a positive workplace. This is a part-time, paid position that offers exposure to daily HR processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including new hire paperwork and orientation sessions.
- Update and maintain employee records and personnel files in Dayforce.
- Help ensure the company follows internal policies and labor regulations.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities and internal events.
- Generate HR reports and assist with data analysis.
- Contribute to projects that improve HR processes and efficiency.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in HR operations, employee relations, and compliance.
- Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior administrative or internship experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
