About the role#
The Engineering Co-Op position at IPG involves supporting ongoing engineering projects, process improvements, and troubleshooting activities. You will work within the manufacturing department to assist with technical tasks and project execution. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Marysville, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Resolve production issues related to mechanical or electrical design.
- Draft and update service manuals, operating instructions, and assembly documents.
- Take part in root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Select and use appropriate engineering tools and methods.
- Execute testing, validation, and documentation tasks.
- Gather and analyze test data to support your conclusions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or recent coursework in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A fundamental understanding of mechanical systems, electronics, or circuits.
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- A willingness to work hands-on with equipment and tools.
- The ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
