About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry. The role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year university or community college to develop leadership skills, grow in biblical knowledge, and discern a potential call to ministry service. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the campus ministry team to help cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to the team's plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by working to build witnessing communities that are ethnically diverse, bold, and broad.
- Seek opportunities to demonstrate and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Model and assist students and faculty in growing their appreciation for people of every culture and ethnicity.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, particularly those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Engage with supervision and training from ministry staff and serve as an ambassador of the organization to ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- A developing passion for evangelism.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cultural competence, professionalism, and relational maturity.
- Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn.
- Eligibility requirements: Second-year students and community college students may intern at a two-year or community college. Third-year students and higher may work at a four-year or community college. Non-InterVarsity students at Christian colleges must have third or fourth-year standing.
Location & details#
- Location: Michigan (On-site).
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Compensation: This position is paid, with a range of $15.06 to $20.08 per hour. Compensation is funded through personal fundraising, and actual pay is subject to the individual's ability to secure a donor team.
