2026 Field Testing Intern

About the role#

As a Field Testing Intern, you will join the Building Enclosure Testing team in York, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on building enclosure field testing for new construction and retrofit projects. You will gain hands-on experience in field operations while supporting building inspections and testing activities under the guidance of experienced team members.

What you'll do#

• Assist with field testing projects and building envelope testing according to ASTM and AAMA standards.
• Construct testing chambers and perform on-site observations, documentation, and data collection.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams regarding site observations, test procedures, results, and reporting.
• Coordinate project activities, including planning, scheduling, execution, and preparing project documentation.
• Review project specifications to identify testing opportunities and assist in the preparation of quotes.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and team members while developing industry knowledge.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time or more.
• Comfort working with elevated platforms and the physical ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, bend, crawl, push, and pull.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• A valid driver’s license and a reliable driving record.
