2026 Field Testing Intern

About the role#

As a 2026 Field Testing Intern, you will join the Building Enclosure Testing team in York, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on supporting field testing activities for new construction and retrofit projects while gaining hands-on experience in building science. This is a paid, full-time summer internship.

What you'll do#

• Assist with field testing projects and building envelope testing under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Support chamber construction and testing in accordance with ASTM and AAMA standards.
• Assist with site observations, data collection, and the preparation of project documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams regarding test procedures, results, and site activities.
• Support project coordination, including planning, scheduling, and execution tasks.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and team members while developing industry knowledge.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Ability to learn and comprehend technical testing standards.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Comfort working with elevated platforms.
• Physical ability to routinely lift at least 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, bend, crawl, push, and pull.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable driving record.

• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday.
• Travel: Willingness to travel 75% of the time or more is required, with shared company transportation or accommodations provided for work-related travel.
