About the role#
The 2026 Field Testing Intern will join the Building Enclosure Testing team in York, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on building enclosure field testing for new construction and retrofit projects, providing hands-on experience in field operations, testing, and site observations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with field testing projects and building envelope testing under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Support building envelope testing through chamber construction and testing per ASTM and AAMA standards.
- Help prepare accurate and concise project documentation and reports.
- Assist with project coordination activities, including planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and project team members while developing industry knowledge.
- Collaborate on site observations, data collection, and test preparation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to learn and comprehend testing standards.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet changing priorities and strict deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to routinely lift a minimum of 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, bend, crawl, push, and pull.
- Comfort working with elevated platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable driving record.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with a requirement for 75% or more travel.
