About the role#
The International Rescue Committee in Louisville is looking for an Operations Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity. You will work on-site to support the daily administrative and logistical functions of our office.
What you'll do#
- Support the Administrative Assistant with reception materials and client inquiries.
- Coordinate with office and equipment maintenance providers.
- Manage inventory tasks, including tracking incoming and outgoing items, recording client distributions, and stocking donations.
- Assist staff and clients during visits to the stock room.
- Perform weekly vehicle inspections using a standard checklist.
- Enter inventory data into Excel, Sortly, and other platforms.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new data entry software.
- Strong intercultural communication skills and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with strict confidentiality.
- Access to a personal vehicle or reliable transportation.
- Capability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
