About the role#
The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring an intern to support Staff Retirement Plans Investments Operations. This is a paid, full-time consultant role based at our headquarters. You will gain professional experience in development work and corporate management during the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support investment operations, including transaction settlement, fee invoice reviews, wire transfers, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain investment databases to ensure records remain accurate and complete.
- Develop and enhance dashboards to support portfolio monitoring, performance reporting, liquidity management, and investment analysis.
- Assist with compliance, operational risk, and due diligence tasks, such as monitoring investment guidelines and reviewing internal controls.
- Support data and technology initiatives, including data migration, validation, and reporting infrastructure improvements.
- Use Power Automate to build automation and process improvements for reconciliations and reporting tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active graduate student in finance, business, accounting, risk management, or data analytics.
- You should have completed at least 50% of your coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, is required.
- Experience with Python, R, SQL, or Microsoft Power Platform is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is required, along with a working knowledge of one other Bank language.
- You must be a national of an IDB member country and have no family members working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
- This must be your first internship with the IDB Group.
