About the role#
The Office of Ethics at the Inter-American Development Bank provides impartial assistance to employees and management regarding workplace conduct and integrity. This internship is a paid, full-time opportunity for graduate students to gain professional experience in development work and corporate management.
What you'll do#
- Assist in reviewing and preparing documents and communications related to Investigations and Intake.
- Support the Investigations Team with the collection and analysis of data.
- Conduct comparative research on legal standards and best practices across peer organizations.
- Research, compile, analyze, and organize jurisprudence from multilateral organizations related to misconduct.
- Assist in the preparation of drafts, templates, and protocols.
- Contribute to special initiatives and other ad hoc assignments.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a graduate program for criminal law, litigation, anti-corruption, international law, compliance, or ethics.
- Completion of at least 50% of your graduate coursework at the time of application.
- Graduation date must be after the internship period.
- Fluency in English.
- Working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be a national of an IDB member country.
- Candidates must be first-time participants in an IDB Group internship and have no family members currently employed by the IDB or IDB Invest.
