Marketing Intern

About the role#

As a Marketing Intern, you will support our team while gaining hands-on experience in event operations and marketing. You will contribute to various projects and daily tasks that help our department succeed. This role provides an opportunity to build professional skills through collaboration and meaningful work.

What you'll do#

• Develop and execute marketing campaigns for selected events and promotions.
• Learn how sponsorship, sales, and operations integrate with marketing efforts.
• Assist staff at festivals, high-traffic events, and the event center.
• Help with event setup and participate in supervised promotional activities.
• Manage daily office tasks and other assigned responsibilities.

What you'll need#

• Current status as a high school senior, college junior, senior, or graduate student in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Professional, mature, and positive attitude with a focus on initiative.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include extended hours.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and carry up to 20 lbs, climb steps, and frequently walk, stand, or sit.
• Previous hospitality or customer service experience is a plus, as are strong computer skills.

Location & details#

• This is an on-site, paid internship located in Hanover, Maryland.
• Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $18.34 per hour.
• You will work in a 24/7 casino environment where smoking is permitted and exposure to loud noises, bright lights, and alcohol occurs.
