About the role#
Integrated Cooling Solutions is looking for an Inside Sales Engineer Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. You will work alongside Inside and Outside Sales Engineers to support commercial HVAC projects. This role involves the full project lifecycle, from initial design and equipment selection to estimating, proposals, submittals, and delivery. You will gain exposure to our manufacturers and product lines while building a practical understanding of how technical solutions are developed for customer needs.
What you'll do#
- Partner with sales engineers to support HVAC projects from design through completion.
- Review mechanical plans, specifications, and project documents to understand equipment requirements.
- Assist in selecting and applying HVAC equipment based on project specifications and performance needs.
- Prepare equipment estimates, pricing, quotations, and value-engineering options.
- Coordinate technical requirements, lead times, and pricing with manufacturers and internal teams.
- Prepare technical submittals, product data, and project materials.
- Track project schedules, ship dates, and open follow-up items.
- Communicate with customers, contractors, and consulting engineers.
- Maintain accurate job files and project records.
- Help investigate technical concerns and identify solutions.
- Participate in customer meetings and project discussions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Ideally entering your junior or senior year by Summer 2027.
- Interest in commercial HVAC, building systems, technical sales, estimating, or project management.
- Technical aptitude and a desire to learn HVAC systems and applications.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical plans.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with CAD, HVAC selection software, MEP design, or mechanical contracting is a plus.
