About the role#
Intact is seeking Software Developer interns to join our teams for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within our IT and Lab departments, contributing to projects across full-stack and back-end development. This internship offers the opportunity to gain experience in a professional environment while working alongside experienced developers on real-world software solutions.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate the development of new features and resolve technical issues.
- Design, code, and test new features for our systems.
- Participate in the development of Client Centre APIs.
- Adjust unit tests to ensure software quality.
- Update technical documentation to support codebases.
- Support the team in triaging and fixing production issues.
- Collaborate with product-centric teams to develop, test, and gather feedback.
- Build impactful claims features as part of an agile squad.
- Refine and enhance existing software to improve performance.
- Triage defects and prioritize fixes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Must be an active student who is returning to school in Summer or Fall 2027.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Curiosity regarding continuous delivery pipelines and testing.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-reliant with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Bilingual in English and French.
