About the role#
As an Actuarial Analyst intern, you will join our team to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will receive guidance from actuarial experts and participate in projects that support our business goals. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across departments and build professional connections while contributing to meaningful analytical work.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with partners in Underwriting, Marketing, Risk Management, and Finance on analytical and decision-making assignments.
- Participate in development projects and share your findings, methods, and recommendations with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Monitor the profitability and competitiveness of insurance portfolios and help prepare action plans.
- Assess how emerging trends affect frequency, severity, and risk profiles.
- Apply actuarial techniques to support adequate reserves, reinsurance, and capital levels.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives, including machine learning and telematics, to improve pricing models.
What you'll need#
- Ongoing university studies in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- Ability to work 35 hours per week and maintain active student status for the duration of the internship.
- Strong analytical and synthesizing skills, along with the ability to communicate clearly in both French and English.
- Demonstrated adaptability, autonomy, a sense of accountability, and a willingness to work in a team.
- An interest in IT, technology, and innovation.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least two days per week in the office.
- Terms: Winter 2027, Summer 2027, or Fall 2027.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
