About the role#
This co-op position offers hands-on experience in the medical device industry. You will work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, process, design, and mechanical engineers. Your work focuses on root cause investigations, manufacturing capacity, and process improvements. You will have a dedicated manager to help you meet your professional development goals.
What you'll do#
- Use lab equipment to support root cause analysis.
- Design test procedures and 3D printed fixtures.
- Analyze data to support tool qualifications and design changes.
- Lead at least one root cause or process improvement project.
- Automate tasks and standardize internal workflows using software skills.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing concepts.
- Assist or lead Engineering Change Orders.
- Travel to local suppliers as needed, up to 5% of the time.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate mechanical, industrial, or bio-engineering program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- A hands-on mentality and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and CAD software.
- Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

- Compensation: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour.
