About the role#
Inova Fairfax Medical Center is hiring a Radiology Extern 2 for a part-time, PRN position. This role is designed for students to gain clinical experience while working under the guidance of mentors.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply new technical skills while showing consistent progress.
- Communicate with your assigned mentors and take on more independent decision-making tasks over time.
- Meet the performance expectations set by your supervisors.
- Follow department policies and protocols to ensure all examinations are ready for interpretation.
- Help the team maintain radiography principles during daily operations.
What you'll need#
- You must have a High School diploma or GED.
- You need to be a full-time student in good standing within an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- You must be in your second year of your Radiologic Technology program.
- A current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required.

- This position is located in Falls Church, Virginia.
- This is an on-site, part-time role with a rolling term.
