About the role#
Inova Alexandria Hospital is hiring a Radiology Extern 2. This is a part-time, PRN position that offers hands-on experience in a clinical setting. You will work under the guidance of mentors to build your skills and gain independence in a hospital environment.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply new technical skills while showing consistent progress in your daily work.
- Communicate clearly with your mentors and supervisors.
- Take on more decision-making responsibilities as you gain experience.
- Follow department policies to ensure all imaging examinations are ready for interpretation.
- Assist the team in maintaining radiography principles during patient care.
- Meet the performance expectations set by your supervisors.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time student in good standing within an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- You are required to be in your second year of the program.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- You must hold a current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
