About the role#
Ingredion is seeking an Internal Audit Intern for the summer of 2027. This role supports the Global Internal Audit team by evaluating operational, financial, and compliance processes. You will work on projects that drive risk awareness and process improvements while gaining exposure to enterprise systems like SAP and Concur.
What you'll do#
- Assist with audit execution, including documenting business processes and controls.
- Perform audit testing procedures and evaluate supporting evidence.
- Prepare audit workpapers.
- Use data analysis and data mining to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential risks.
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve internal controls over financial reporting.
- Support the development of analytics-based procedures for compliance and audit testing.
- Evaluate the adequacy of accounting and management controls.
- Determine compliance with company policies, standards, and applicable government regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or non-graduating senior (or a master's student).
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Orientation to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Please note that we do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
- Experience or coursework in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is preferred.

- Work Modality: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week on-site in the Westchester office.
