About the role#
This is a 12-week paid summer internship based at our home office. You will work alongside professionals to gain firsthand experience in the food service industry. The program focuses on meaningful projects that impact our business operations while providing mentorship and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with other interns and employees across various departments.
- Embed with a team that uses AI as a core collaborator to deliver business impact.
- Focus on sales, profit margins, expenses, and operational processes.
- Use business intelligence tools to create snapshots of business unit performance.
- Track inventory and evaluate the profitability of our customer base.
- Complete financial reviews to ensure customer credit worthiness.
- Identify benchmark metrics to predict future performance.
- Execute the monthly financial close process and maintain the general ledger.
- Reconcile balance sheets and manage company cash positions.
- Prepare financial statements and materials for senior management.
- Create operating plans and track capital budgeting and expenditures.
- Attend networking events, participate in community efforts, and join our mentorship program.
- Shadow roles across the organization and attend professional skills workshops.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Operational Finance, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
