About the role#
This is a paid, part-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Indianapolis. You will gain hands-on experience applying actuarial concepts within a corporate environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals to analyze insurance data and support business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with actuarial reserving analyses and reporting activities.
- Support financial analysis projects to evaluate business performance and trends.
- Update and maintain regulatory and internal data calls.
- Participate in post-implementation analyses to measure project effectiveness and business impact.
- Analyze insurance data and develop insights using actuarial and statistical techniques.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with or coursework involving Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, and R.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A positive, professional attitude and a desire to learn.
