About the role#
The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and operational support to the HR team at Hale Products in Ocala, Florida. This role focuses on records management, document digitization, and event coordination. You will gain hands-on experience in HR operations while supporting initiatives that improve departmental efficiency and employee engagement.
What you'll do#
- Scan, upload, and organize employee and HR-related documents.
- Maintain and update physical and electronic personnel files.
- Audit files to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with document retention, archiving, and records management projects.
- Handle confidential information securely.
- Prepare HR packets, forms, and correspondence.
- Plan, prepare, and facilitate employee engagement events.
- Distribute communications and promotional materials.
- Support general administrative tasks like scheduling, filing, and copying.
- Organize HR storage areas and supply closets.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or Communications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous administrative, office, customer service, or volunteer experience is preferred.
