About the role#
As an HR AI & Operations Co-Op, you will join the Human Resources team at IDC to work on projects that combine people analytics, process automation, and emerging AI tools. You will build solutions that improve recruiting, compensation, reporting, and employee support. This role involves collaborating with teams across Talent Acquisition, Compensation, HR Operations, and HRIS to modernize HR operations. You will be paired with a mentor for guidance and will present your work and insights to HR leadership at the end of your term.
What you'll do#
- Work on projects that combine people analytics, process automation, and emerging AI tools.
- Build solutions that improve recruiting, compensation, reporting, and employee support.
- Collaborate with teams across Talent Acquisition, Compensation, HR Operations, and HRIS.
- Improve Talent Acquisition processes and automation across current tools.
- Maintain the created requisition request website.
- Present work and insights to HR leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a graduate or upper-level undergraduate program in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- HR, Business, or related majors with strong technical coursework or hands-on analytics/automation project experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Excel is required.
- Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Python, or automation tools is a plus.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude in coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable working with data and collaborating across technical and business teams.
- Clear communicator with curiosity and initiative.
