About the role#
Reporting to the Policy Assurance and Accounts Payable team, you will support the annual OMB Circular A-123 evaluation of internal controls. This process serves as the federal government equivalent of SOX. You will work alongside managers and staff to review business processes and internal control activities.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate risks within business processes.
- Assess internal controls to mitigate identified risks through tests of design.
- Test the functionality of key controls to ensure they operate as intended to prevent or detect risks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate (freshman-senior) at an accredited college or university.
- A major in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a closely related field.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Authorization to work in the U.S., including CPT and OPT holders.
- A demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
- Required application documents: a current resume or CV, unofficial transcripts, and a current class schedule noting the number of credits.
Location & details#
- This internship is located on-site at the Idaho Falls campus.
- The team follows a 9x80 work schedule.
- This position is part-time and paid.
- Eligible interns receive paid holiday time off, and travel reimbursement may be available.
- Placement level depends on your degree field and education level.
