About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time internship running from June through August 2027. You will join our Human Capital and Learning team to support consulting projects focused on workforce strengthening, organizational effectiveness, and employee development. You will work under the guidance of experienced team members to build foundational consulting skills while contributing to client projects and internal initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Conduct background research and literature reviews on topics including organizational development, human capital, and workforce trends.
- Support data collection activities, such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, pilot tests, and environmental scans.
- Assist in developing and formatting reports, presentations, guidebooks, training materials, and communication products.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure deliverables are accurate, consistent, and professionally formatted.
- Participate in project meetings, take notes, and track follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with team members across multiple projects and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
- Support proposal development, business development research, and internal practice-building activities.
- Apply consulting methods, tools, and human-centered approaches to address client needs.
What you'll need#
- A minimum of 60 completed college-level credit hours by the start date in psychology, management, communications, or a related field.
- United States Citizenship or Permanent Work Authorization.
- Demonstrated interest in human capital, organizational development, employee learning, talent management, or consulting.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and statistical or data visualization tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
- Previous experience through internships, employment, volunteer work, research, or academic projects related to human resources, learning, organizational development, or consulting.
- Experience conducting academic research, reviewing literature, or synthesizing information from multiple sources.
- Experience preparing professional or academic products such as reports and presentations.
- Interest in supporting federal government clients and learning about the federal consulting environment.
- Curiosity about new technologies and a willingness to learn unfamiliar tools.
- Ability to balance multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
Location & details#
- This role is remote from DC, Maryland, or Virginia, with occasional travel required to the Reston, Virginia office.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
