About the role#
ICF is seeking a Pricing Associate Intern to join our Corporate Pricing Team. This 10-week summer internship offers exposure to the full proposal lifecycle and provides experience in financial analysis, compliance, and business strategy. You will collaborate with operations teams, finance, contracts, and proposal professionals to develop accurate and competitive pricing solutions for federal, state, local, and commercial clients.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of timely, accurate, and compliant cost and business proposals.
- Review requests for proposals to identify pricing requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance considerations.
- Assist in building, maintaining, and quality-checking pricing models, including labor, subcontractor costs, and indirect rates.
- Collect and analyze cost inputs from various stakeholders to ensure defensible pricing submissions.
- Document pricing assumptions, methodologies, and rationale for proposal teams.
- Participate in pricing strategy discussions, color team reviews, and internal approval processes.
- Prepare financial analyses, scenario comparisons, and pricing summaries.
- Contribute ideas to improve pricing templates, tools, and quality controls.
What you'll need#
- At least 15 completed credit hours in Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field by the start date.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data organization, and workbook review.
- Ability to learn and work with detailed pricing models.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately with financial, operational, and proposal data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines.
- Interest in cost estimation, financial analysis, business operations, or government contracting.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks, early June through early August).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Location: Hybrid work available from Reston, Virginia, or remote from any U.S. location.
