About the role#
As a Storage Systems Research Scientist Intern, you will join a team focused on building the next generation of storage systems for AI and agentic AI. You will work on research that sits at the intersection of AI, systems, and storage, addressing core problems in scalability, performance, and efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Develop new ideas and system designs.
- Build prototypes and evaluate their performance at scale.
- Tackle fundamental challenges in storage systems.
- Demonstrate real-world impact through your work.
- Publish your findings in scientific venues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Focus on systems or the intersection of systems and AI.
- Programming skills in Python, Go, Bash, Rust, and C++.
- Experience with Linux administration and programming.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Git.
- Understanding of the Linux storage stack.
- Familiarity with LLM technology, distributed inference, vLLM, and KVCache.
- Experience with distributed systems, storage systems, and GPU programming.
- Strong interest in systems research and performance analysis.
