About the role#
As a Storage Product Management Intern, you will work within the IBM Infrastructure team. You will contribute to product strategy and development by bridging the gap between technical capabilities and customer needs. This position is based in Tucson, Arizona, and follows a hybrid work model for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform market, customer, and competitive research to find new opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate user requirements to generate actionable product insights.
- Translate complex technical features into clear user stories and product requirements.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to support product goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers and the industries they serve.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and AI tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise storage technologies including block, file, and object storage.
- Exposure to containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker, or AI/ML workloads.
- Understanding of cloud computing models and their impact on storage.
- Experience with product lifecycle management or competitive analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A self-motivated approach with the ability to make decisions using available information.
