About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to join the IBM Payments Centre. You will work on consulting projects to help clients navigate their business and technology needs. The role focuses on co-creating solutions and understanding the intersection of industry goals and technical implementation. You will also join the IBM North America intern community for networking and professional development events.
What you'll do#
- Participate in consulting projects and initiatives to transform client businesses.
- Focus on technical, business, and user requirements to build solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver results for clients.
- Analyze client goals and processes to define the steps and technologies needed to reach them.
- Learn about client industries and how business intersects with technology.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time post-secondary program, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Mandatory return to full-time studies after the work term ends.
- Eligibility to work full-time in Canada.
- Experience with both business and technology concepts.
- Background or interest in banking, payments, or digital assets.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to perform quantitative analysis and derive recommendations from data.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex situations simply.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Leadership experience and a proactive approach to learning new skills.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (8 months, starting January 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
