About the role#
IAT Insurance Group offers a summer internship program for students interested in the insurance industry. This 10-week, full-time role provides exposure to claims operations and interaction with company leadership in the Raleigh office.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a training program across multiple claims functions.
- Learn fundamental insurance principles and claims handling procedures.
- Develop an understanding of daily claim operations.
- Shadow subject matter experts to observe their work.
- Complete assigned projects, presentations, and developmental activities.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising undergraduate Junior or Senior majoring in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and above average computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and apply analytical thinking to solve problems.
- Strong communication skills when working with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Willingness to learn new tools, including AI technologies used in claims operations.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Term: May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid schedule, with in-office work required Monday through Wednesday and optional remote work on Thursday and Friday.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Requirements: Candidates must be able to work from the Raleigh office without housing or relocation assistance.
