About the role#
IAT Insurance Group is seeking a System Administrator Intern for our Information Technology Business Unit. This role provides hands-on experience with hardware, software, and cloud environments, focusing on high availability, performance, and security. You will work with our team to maintain infrastructure and improve operational efficiency through automation. This is a paid, full-time internship lasting 10 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Install, configure, and monitor hardware, software, and cloud environments.
- Monitor enterprise systems, applications, and network services.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities.
- Build or enhance workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
- Assist with the documentation and maintenance of Disaster Recovery plans.
- Support server, storage, and collaboration platform administration.
- Create documentation and process diagrams for operational procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of Windows operating systems, networking concepts, cloud technologies, and information security principles.
- Ability to work from our Newark, New Jersey office without housing or relocation assistance.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (in-office Monday through Wednesday, with remote options on Thursday and Friday).
