About the role#
This internship provides practical experience in protecting and defending assets within the IAT Insurance Group IT Business Unit. You will work with the Cybersecurity Team to gain industry knowledge and develop technical skills through real-world projects. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze vulnerability data.
- Develop phishing and social engineering campaigns.
- Monitor security threats.
- Assist with identity and access management.
- Participate in cybersecurity tabletop and war gaming exercises.
- Support cyber strategy, program development, and data privacy initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status as a rising Junior or rising Senior.
- Enrollment in a degree program for Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work from the Raleigh office without relocation or housing assistance.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Availability for the full 10-week program from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
Location & details#
- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with in-office attendance required Monday through Wednesday and optional remote work on Thursday and Friday.
