About the role#
This internship offers students the chance to work with Analytics and Business Intelligence teams in Raleigh. You will gain exposure to actuaries, underwriters, and executives while working on real projects. The program runs for 10 weeks, from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Translate complex business requirements into technical coding steps and UI designs.
- Query data warehouse tables and build ETL pipelines.
- Create scalable data models for analysis and visualization.
- Build interactive reports and dashboards for business partners.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and above-average computer skills.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and think analytically.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preferred experience includes SQL, Python, PySpark, data modeling, and database design.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView is helpful, as is knowledge of the Microsoft Fabric platform.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
- You must be able to work from the office for the duration of the program.
- The role follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office attendance required Monday through Wednesday and remote work options on Thursday and Friday.
