About the role#
This summer internship provides practical work experience within the food and beverage industry. You will work on-site at various food and dairy customer facilities to provide chemical sanitation solutions. Your primary goal is to understand customer needs and offer solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and profitability. This is a full-time position running from June through August.
What you'll do#
- Perform CIP validations at customer facilities.
- Analyze wash cycles to identify savings in time, cost, water, and chemicals.
- Prepare written service and usage reports.
- Identify continuous profit improvement opportunities for customers.
- Provide timely analysis for assigned projects and tasks.
- Complete a final report summarizing your training, projects, and learning objectives.
- Present your accomplishments to Hydrite management at the end of the program.
- Uphold company standards and perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related fields.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter mindset.
- Demonstrated leadership and presentation skills are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility: You must be able to work off-shift hours as needed, including frequent overnight work.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Business mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate.
