About the role#
This summer internship provides practical experience working on engineering projects at our Visalia, California site. You will report to the Plant Manager and work full time from May or June 2027 through August or September 2027. This is a paid position designed to give you hands-on exposure to our operations and engineering workflows.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical analysis for assigned projects.
- Assist with the implementation of capital projects and maintenance tasks.
- Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they align with operational practices and regulations.
- Support plant operations through troubleshooting, process optimization, and documenting system workflows.
- Perform engineering clerical duties.
- Investigate and implement improvements focused on cost savings, cycle time reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft PowerPoint or similar software.
- Good presentation skills are preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills are preferred, as you may have the opportunity to lead installation crews on capital projects.
