About the role#
Retail Pharmacy Interns gain hands-on experience in a pharmacy setting while working toward their degree. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to help deliver patient care and support pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers and provide friendly service.
- Fill and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Prepare prescriptions and affix labels to containers.
- Assist with inventory control by ordering, stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering data.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy and dispensing area.
- Protect the confidentiality of customer medical information.
- Work with your team to follow standard operating procedures and facility policies.
- Assist in other areas of the store or take on special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Registration with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.
- Six months or less of similar work experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform arithmetic, algebraic, and geometric calculations.
- Capability to stand and walk throughout your shift, including extended periods at a workstation.
