About the role#
The IT Invoicing & Procurement Intern supports the IT leadership team in managing technology expenses and purchasing processes. You will help ensure vendor products and services are categorized correctly before they reach the accounting department for payment. This role involves tracking inventory and handling inquiries from internal partners, vendors, and third-party installers.
What you'll do#
- Process invoices for technology products to ensure timely payment.
- Classify vendor services and products for accurate billing to business units.
- Purchase goods and services that meet quality and quantity requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and late shipments to identify product shortages.
- Respond to questions from internal teams and external vendors.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with partners and vendors.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in West Des Moines, Iowa.
- You must be able to perform light physical work, including lifting up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
