About the role#
Hungerford is hiring a Human Resources Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This part-time, paid position is based on-site in our Grand Rapids office. You will work up to 20 hours per week with a schedule that remains flexible around your classes. The internship runs from October 2026 through February 2027. You will support our Talent Acquisition team by assisting with campus recruiting, employer branding, and general HR operations.
What you'll do#
- Manage candidate outreach and follow-up after campus events and career fairs.
- Schedule interviews between students and our hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and activity logs within our applicant tracking system.
- Handle candidate communications, including interview confirmations and reminders.
- Coordinate student engagement initiatives and campus ambassador activities.
- Prepare recruiting materials for upcoming events and firm visits.
- Assist with HR projects related to onboarding, benefits, compliance, and performance management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence when interacting with students, candidates, and firm professionals.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
