About the role#
The Center for Strategy and American Statecraft offers an internship for students or recent graduates to gain experience in policy research. Interns work closely with experts on critical foreign and domestic policy issues, including the Indo-Pacific, the war in Ukraine and Russia, and the war in Israel. Participants engage in discussions with scholars, assist with research projects, and support both public and intern-specific events. The program runs from August 24 to December 4, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Perform background research for weekly columns and podcasts.
- Gather and analyze data for reports and articles.
- Monitor and update the team on current events.
- Assist experts with research projects, presentations, articles, op-eds, and briefing memos.
- Provide administrative support and assist with event coordination.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in political science, international relations, economics, security studies, history, or a related field.
- A demonstrated interest in American foreign policy and public policy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong research, writing, editing, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented and reliable professional demeanor.
