About the role#
Hudson Institute is seeking interns to gain research experience in the U.S. national security industrial base, strategic technologies, and American grand strategy. This role supports the work of experts focused on American preparedness and competitiveness. Interns will engage in discussions regarding critical geopolitical issues and have the opportunity to attend public events and intern-specific programming featuring Hudson scholars.
What you'll do#
- Gather and analyze data for reports and articles.
- Keep the expert and team updated on current events.
- Assist with research projects and presentations.
- Support the creation of articles, op-eds, reports, and briefing memos.
- Provide administrative assistance and event support.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate in political science, international relations, economics, security studies, technology studies, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in and experience with defense policy and China policy.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong research, writing, editing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
