About the role#
This internship is a 10 to 12-week program designed to provide students with corporate experience and preparation for a career in the electrical and electronics manufacturing industry. You will work on-site in Iron Mountain, Michigan, and gain practical experience by applying your academic knowledge to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Apply classroom knowledge to on-the-job tasks and projects.
- Develop technical skills relevant to your major.
- Assist with process improvement and manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a professional environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Build professional relationships and learn about different areas of the business.
- Present your work to the local management team at the end of the program.
- Gain knowledge of the industry as it relates to the Hubbell business location.
- Support co-workers and refine your planning and organizational skills.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university working toward a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Familiarity with relevant software and systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
