About the role#
Hubbell Incorporated is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Winsted, Connecticut. You will spend 10 to 12 weeks gaining professional experience while working on manufacturing process improvement projects.
What you'll do#
- Drive process improvement initiatives by developing work instructions and implementing 6S methodologies.
- Analyze production workflows and conduct time studies to evaluate efficiency.
- Use tools like spaghetti diagrams and non-value-added work analysis to identify productivity gains.
- Support problem-solving efforts directly on the manufacturing floor.
- Assist with the management of maintenance system data.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve organizational performance.
- Present your project findings to the local management team at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university through August 2027.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Familiarity with relevant engineering software and systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
