About the role#
As a Tax Intern at Honkamp, P.C., you will work with our team to apply classroom knowledge to real-world business projects. This role provides exposure to the accounting industry and helps you build technical skills. What you'll do#
- Prepare level 3 and 4 tax returns.
- Document your work effectively.
- Learn our tax process, including scan, assembly, and verification procedures.
- Develop an understanding of basic income tax returns, extensions, and deadlines.
- Assist with data entry and maintain tax-related records.
- Support administrative functions.
- Become familiar with our workflow and verification software.
- Act as an ambassador to your university.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in an accounting-related field.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- The ability to learn how to operate basic office equipment.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- You can remain in a stationary position at a desk for extended periods.
- You are comfortable working in a shared office environment with moderate noise levels.
