About the role#
As a Tax Intern at Honkamp, P.C., you will work with our team to apply your classroom knowledge to real business projects. This role provides exposure to the public accounting industry and helps you develop your technical and client service skills. You will work on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Prepare level 3 and 4 tax returns.
- Document your work and maintain accurate tax records.
- Enter data and assist with administrative tasks.
- Learn our internal tax processes, including scan, assembly, and verification procedures.
- Become familiar with our tax, workflow, and verification software.
- Act as an ambassador for our firm at universities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting degree program.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work at a desk for extended periods in a shared office environment.

- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
