About the role#
Honkamp, P.C. is hiring a Tax Intern to join our team in Platteville. This paid, full-time internship provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world tax projects. You will work alongside our team members to gain exposure to the public accounting industry and develop your technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Prepare level 3 and 4 tax returns.
- Document your work effectively.
- Learn our tax processes, including scan, assembly, and verification procedures.
- Enter data and maintain tax-related records.
- Assist with various administrative functions.
- Familiarize yourself with our tax, workflow, and verification software.
- Act as a representative for the firm at your university.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting-related degree program.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Ability to learn the operation of standard office equipment.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a shared office environment and remain at a desk for extended periods.
