Co-op Engineer - Fall/Winter 2026-2027

About the role#

HNTB is seeking Co-op Engineers for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. This full-time, paid position supports our Indiana offices in Roadway, Water Resources, and Bridge departments. You will assist engineering teams with project-related tasks that reflect elements of a standard post-secondary engineering curriculum.

What you'll do#

• Assist engineering teams with various daily tasks and duties.
• Participate in the research, development, and design of projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for project documentation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering).
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to accept and apply direction from peers and supervisors.
• Familiarity with introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
