About the role#
HNTB is seeking Co-op Engineers for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. This role supports departments and projects in Roadway, Water Resources, and Bridge engineering. You will perform basic engineering tasks that align with standard post-secondary engineering curricula. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with various tasks and project duties.
- Support research, development, and design efforts for assigned projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering).
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to accept and apply direction from supervisors and peers.
- Foundational understanding of shop drawing and submittal procedures.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for project documents.

- Locations: Indianapolis, Indiana, and Westfield, Indiana.
- Terms: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
