About the role#
This position is exclusively for current or former HNTB interns. It is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship opportunity focused on providing hands-on experience in civil engineering and related fields. Candidates will work on-site to assist teams with project development and engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Support research, development, and design efforts for ongoing projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and documentation as assigned.
- Organize information for use in technical documents and drawings.
- Perform other duties as assigned while applying direction from peers and supervisors.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED, plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
- Preference is given to candidates who have completed at least two years of an engineering program.
