About the role#
This position is exclusively for current or former HNTB interns. It is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship opportunity focused on providing hands-on experience with engineering projects. This role requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Support research, development, and design efforts for ongoing projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and related documentation as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required to support the engineering team.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED and current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
- Understanding of basic engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to organize information for use in drawings and documents.
- Familiarity with introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
- Ability to accept and apply direction from peers and supervisors.
- Preference is given to candidates who have completed at least two years of an engineering program.
