About the role#
HII is offering a summer internship at our corporate headquarters in Newport News, Virginia. This program provides exposure to various business functions within the human resources organization. The internship lasts for at least 10 weeks and requires a 40-hour work week. This position is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year college, university, or a 2+2 program.
What you'll do#
You will support the human resources team with daily administrative tasks and ongoing projects. The role involves rotating through several functional areas to gain a broad understanding of the department. These areas include:
- Compensation
- Benefits
- EEO
- Security
- Learning and Development
- Talent Acquisition
What you'll need#
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Enrollment in a relevant degree program such as Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Communications, Marketing, or English.
- Status as a rising junior or above, or current enrollment in a relevant Master's program.
- Coursework in human resources is preferred.
- US citizenship is required for this position.
