About the role#
Highgate is hiring a Sales & Marketing Intern for Summer 2027. This role offers hands-on exposure to hotel operations, including Sales, Revenue Management, Events, and Marketing. You will work alongside hospitality professionals to support daily functions, manage inquiries, and keep event information organized. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Boston.
What you'll do#
- Answer telephone and email messages.
- Greet guests, clients, and employees.
- Assist in the smooth operation of the office.
- Distribute BEO daily change logs, resumes, site events, and event guarantees.
- Take and distribute inquiries.
- Use industry systems including Delphi FDC and Opera.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required by management.
- Stay updated on new computer programs and innovations.
What you'll need#
- College course work in a related field.
- One year of experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- Must reside in the Boston market.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong listening skills to understand and clarify concerns.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Initiative to anticipate guest and operational needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas.
- High standards for personal appearance and grooming.
- Commitment to following hotel regulations and attendance standards.
